Demagri is a supplier of crop protection products for agriculture and horticulture. To achieve an enhanced standard of fire safety in their new warehouses, Cintralux installed barrel vaults and skylights with integrated smoke and heat extraction.

“Cintramax has the necessary CE certification to be used as a natural SHEV system.”

Demagri's new buildings include a large logistics warehouse, where Cintralux EP 10/10 barrel vaults were combined with Cintramax CE skylights. That means that the warehouse enjoys natural light and ventilation, and can make use of the smoke and heat extraction function.

"The big advantage of Cintramax is its unique scissor system," says architect Dominique Parmentier. "The skylights open vertically and thus on four sides. Furthermore, this opening element can also provide necessary ventilation without rain entering the building frontally. The system is compliant with the NBN S 21-208-1 standard and we were easily able to link the control unit to beam detectors."

Maximum fire safety for a storage warehouse

Fire safety was particularly important in the adjoining plant protection product storage warehouse. "These are flammable products, which called for strict measures to minimise any risks," Dominique underlines. Cintralux offered the solution with smoke venting domes and smoke screens.
